IGPL Tour: Fresh from an international win, Kochhar to tee up in Mumbai

Mumbai, Nov 17 (IANS) Karandeep Kochhar, fresh from a win in Egypt, returns to the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Tour as he tees up at the IGPL Invitational Mumbai as the tour moves to the western part of India. After six events around the country, the seventh leg will be held in Mumbai at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club.

New Delhi, Nov 17 (IANS) The 2026 season of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) is likely to begin in early January, with a final decision on venues set to come soon, sources close to the development said to IANS on Monday. Lucknow, Bengaluru, Vadodara, and Mumbai hosted WPL 2025, which was won by Harmanpreet Kaur-led Mumbai Indians (MI) for the second time at the Brabourne Stadium earlier this year.

Abhay and Anahat named in India's team for Squash World Cup in Chennai

The returning tournament in Chennai will be hosted by the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI) and will follow the success of the 2023 event, in which mixed-gender teams of two male and two female players will battle it out for the title in Tamil Nadu.

Cairo, Nov 17 (IANS) Olympian Gurpreet Singh came close to becoming world champion in the men’s 25m Center Fire Pistol event but had to settle for silver after losing on inner 10s to Ukraine’s Pavlo Korostylov at the Olympic Shooting Range, marking his second individual medal in the ISSF World Championship 2025 after a silver in the 25m Standard Pistol event in Changwon in 2018, while Yann Pierre Louis Fridrici of France claimed bronze.
