Dhaka, Oct 12 (IANS) The International Crimes Tribunal in Bangladesh, recently, issued arrest warrants against 30 people, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and 24 military officers, 14 of whom are still in active service. It has never happened in Bangladesh's history that a civilian court has sought to arrest such a large number of serving military officers.

Quetta, Oct 12 (IANS) The Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) has criticised the Pakistani authorities for holding hearing of BYC leaders Mahrang Baloch, Beebow Baloch, Gulzadi Baloch, Beebarg Baloch and Sibghatullah Shahjee in prison, terming it a "grave and deliberate attempt to suppress transparency, exclude public scrutiny, and further institutionalise the criminalisation of peaceful political dissent in Balochistan".
