Islamabad, Sep 30 (IANS) The Pakistan Navy's announcement of a major counter-narcotics operation in the Arabian Sea on September 26 has been accompanied by a video intended to visually substantiate the operation and reinforce the role of Pakistan Navy Ships PNS Hunain and PNS Yarmook. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two ships, while conducting routine patrols, intercepted a suspicious boat, carried out a boarding operation and recovered more than 2,800 kilogrammes of narcotics, which the country's navy estimated to be worth approximately USD 750 million. The announcement was subsequently echoed by Pakistan’s civilian leadership and state media. The significance of the seizure is not in question merely because it has been communicated through military public affairs channels.
