New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) National Games champion Neeru Dhanda reached a first-ever World Cup final to finish a creditable fourth in women’s trap, on the penultimate day of the fourth and final International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup Shotgun stage, currently underway in Lonato, Italy. She shot 30 out of her first 35 targets in the 50-shot final.

India U20 women all set for first friendly against Uzbekistan in Tashkent

New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) The Indian U20 women's team have arrived in Tashkent to play two friendly matches against Uzbekistan U20. The first of them will be played on Sunday at the Do'stlik Stadium. The Young Tigresses, who had been training at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, landed in the Uzbek capital on Friday morning and had a gym session in the evening. On Saturday evening, they had their official training session before the first game.

Malik Tillman joins Bayer Leverkusen for a club-record transfer fee

Leverkusen, July 12 (IANS) Bayer 04 Leverkusen have announced the signing of USA international Malik Tillman from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven in a deal reportedly worth 35 million Euros, a club record fee. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a contract running until June 30, 2030, as he returns to Germany to bolster the Bundesliga champions' squad.
