WPGT 2025: Another amateur Saanvi takes lead on Day 2

Mumbai, Feb 26 (IANS) Vietnam-bound amateur Saanvi Somu played a steady bogey-free second round of two-under 68 to move into the lead in the fourth leg of the Women’s Pro Golf Tour (WPGT) at the Bombay Presidency Golf Club here on Wednesday. The 16-year-old Saanvi has finished runner-up multiple times on the WPGT, the latest of which was the first leg this season. After Mannat Brar was on the top a day earlier, Saanvi is the second amateur to take the spotlight this week.

Dubai, Feb 26 (IANS) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that Australian left-arm spinner Matthew Kuhnemann’s bowling action is legal, allowing him to continue bowling in international cricket. “The International Cricket Council (ICC) today confirmed that the bowling action of Australia spinner Matthew Kuhnemann has been found to be legal, and the player can continue bowling in international cricket,” the ICC said in a statement.

According to a report by the Australian Associated Press (AAP), Kuhnemann was informed on Wednesday that biomechanical testing in Brisbane had confirmed his action did not exceed the 15-degree elbow extension limit permitted by the ICC.
