India U20 women all set for first friendly against Uzbekistan in Tashkent

New Delhi, July 12 (IANS) The Indian U20 women's team have arrived in Tashkent to play two friendly matches against Uzbekistan U20. The first of them will be played on Sunday at the Do'stlik Stadium. The Young Tigresses, who had been training at the Padukone-Dravid Centre for Sports Excellence in Bengaluru, landed in the Uzbek capital on Friday morning and had a gym session in the evening. On Saturday evening, they had their official training session before the first game.

Leverkusen, July 12 (IANS) Bayer 04 Leverkusen have announced the signing of USA international Malik Tillman from Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven in a deal reportedly worth 35 million Euros, a club record fee. The 23-year-old attacking midfielder has signed a contract running until June 30, 2030, as he returns to Germany to bolster the Bundesliga champions' squad.

London, July 12 (IANS) India batter Cheteshwar Pujara began proceedings on Day 3 of the Lord’s Test by ringing the famed bell and admitted he felt nervous due to the amount of eyeballs that are on you while performing the storied tradition. Pujara followed in the footsteps of Sachin Tendulkar after the former India great rang the bell on Day 1 of the third Test. It was the first time Tendulkar had the honour of doing so.
