'Resilient economy': India’s forex reserves cross $700 billion mark again

Mumbai, July 4 (IANS) India’s foreign exchange reserves once again crossed the $700 billion mark, reaching $702.78 billion for the week ending June 27, according to data released by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Friday.

नई दिल्ली : केमिकल उद्योग की रणनीतिक अहमियत पर जोर देते हुए नीति आयोग के वरिष्ठ अधिकारी डॉ अरविंद वीरमणि ने कहा कि इस सेक्टर के लिए एक राष्ट्रीय नीति (National Policy) की जरूरत है क्योंकि हथियार निर्माण से लेकर एक्सपोर्ट क्लस्टर तक की जिम्मेदारी राज्यों की नहीं, बल्कि केंद्र की होती है। खासकर केमिकल जैसे संवेदनशील सेक्टर में नीति निर्माण केंद्र सरकार के स्तर पर होना चाहिए क्योंकि इसमें राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा और अंतरराष्ट्रीय व्यापार दोनों जुड़े हैं। भारत में जो भी बड़े केमिकल क्लस्टर हैं, वे अधिकतर कोस्टल स्टेट्स में स्थापित हैं, क्योंकि पेट्रोकेमिकल्स और उससे जुड़ी वैल्यू चेन आमतौर पर समुद्री बंदरगाहों के नजदीक बेहतर काम करती है। इन क्लस्टर्स की मदद से रॉ मैटेरियल की कॉस्ट कम होती है और लॉजिस्टिक्स आसान होती है। इसके लिए सात से आठ बड़े कोस्टल क्लस्टर्स की पहचान की गई है और I-25 जैसे कॉर्पोरेट फ्रेमवर्क के जरिए इनका विकास किया जा रहा है। इन प्रयासों से भारत न केवल अपने घरेलू उत्पादन को बढ़ावा देगा, बल्कि केमिकल एक्सपोर्ट के क्षेत्र में भी वैश्विक प्रतिस्पर्धा में मजबूती से उतर सकेगा।

    New Delhi, July 4 (IANS) Mohamed Salah took to social media on Friday to send his condolences after his Liverpool teammate Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva passed away in a car accident on Thursday. The accident took place around 12:30 am local time in the Spanish province of Zamora. According to the Spanish police, Jota’s car veered off the road while trying to overtake another vehicle. A tyre blowout caused the car to lose control and catch fire. Sadly, both Jota and his brother died at the scene.
