‘Samudra Manthan’ to help India cut long-term dependence on oil and gas imports: Ministry

New Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) By creating a robust offshore exploration ecosystem through better data, risk-sharing, common infrastructure and domestic manufacturing capabilities, the ‘Samudra Manthan’ scheme will enable India to build national capability in deepwater exploration and production, strengthen our energy-security resilience, and reduce our long-term dependence on imports, Petroleum Ministry said on Saturday.

Mumbai, Aug 1 (IANS) Market regulator SEBI has barred Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) and two of its top executives, Punit Goenka and Subhash Chandra, from the securities market after finding that ZEEL’s Hyderabad land was mortgaged against loans availed by Essel Group entities without necessary corporate approvals.
