Ahmedabad nears 90 pc stray dog sterilisation under rabies control programme

Ahmedabad, June 2 (IANS) The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC)'s Cattle Nuisance Control Department (CNCD) has reported that the city has achieved around 89 per cent sterilisation coverage of stray dogs under its Animal Birth Control (ABC) programme, alongside large-scale anti-rabies vaccination, microchipping, and a newly launched scientific dog census aimed at supporting the “Zero by 2030” rabies elimination goal.
