School teachers violating Calcutta HC order on private tuitions, claims Bengal tutors’ body

Kolkata, Oct 4 (IANS) Another internal irregularities in the school education system has surfaced as West Bengal Private Tutors’ Development Association, an association of private tutors in the state, has accused a section of the teachers in different state-run schools of violating the Calcutta High Court’s order of ban on private tuition against fees.

CBSE opposes PIL in Delhi HC seeking common syllabus across India

New Delhi, Oct 3 (IANS) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opposed a petition challenging certain provisions of the Right to Education Act, 2009 for being "arbitrary, irrational, and violative" and seeking direction to the Centre to implement common syllabus and curriculum for the students of Class 1 to 8 standard throughout the country.
