MCC World Cricket Committee recommends a minimum of three Tests in a series for next FTP

Cape Town, Feb 9 (IANS) The MCC World Cricket Committee (WCC) said it recommends playing a minimum of three Test matches from the next ICC Future Tours Programme (FTP) from 2028 onwards. The Marylebone Cricket Club's WCC had its meeting at Cape Town last week, which was hosted by former South Africa captain Graeme Smith, who’s also the commissioner of SA20.

Netherlands and Namibia to tour Nepal for bilateral ODI and T20I series

Nieuwegein, Feb 9 (IANS) The Netherlands men’s cricket team is scheduled to play bilateral ODIs and a T20I Tri-series in February and March against Namibia and host country Nepal. “These three countries have qualified for the T20 World Cup, which will be held in the United States and the Caribbean in June 2024,” said a statement released by the Netherlands Cricket Board on Friday.

Uganda to visit Sri Lanka for a 14-day training camp ahead of Men's T20 World Cup

Kampala, Feb 9 (IANS) The Uganda men’s cricket team will be visiting Sri Lanka for a 14-day training camp as they continue to prepare for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, to be held from June 1-29 in the West Indies and USA. Uganda are in Group C alongside co-hosts West Indies, Afghanistan, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea in what is their first-ever participation in the showpiece event, after winning the Africa leg of the tournament’s qualifiers.
