Omar Henry set to become president of Cricket Scotland

New Delhi, June 27 (IANS) Former South Africa cricketer and selector, Omar Henry, is set to be the next President of Cricket Scotland on July 30, according to a decision taken by the organisation's member clubs.

Surrey sign Australian spinner Adam Zampa for T20 Blast

Surrey, June 27 (IANS) Australia spinner Adam Zampa has signed for Surrey to play four T20 Blast games. He will arrive ahead of Surrey’s double-header fixture against Essex at The Oval on July 6. The 33-year-old is the highest wicket-taker for Australia in T20 cricket with 117 wickets. He was the first Australian to pass 100 T20I scalps and was part of the teams that won the T20 World Cup in 2021 and the 50-over World Cup in 2023.

Asalanka to lead Sri Lanka in ODIs against Bangladesh

Colombo, June 27 (IANS) Sri Lanka has named a 16-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Bangladesh, scheduled for July 2, 5 and 8. Charith Asalanka will captain the side while batter Sadeera Samarawickrama has made a comeback to the squad. Samarawickrama played his last ODI against New Zealand in November last year.

New Zealand call up rookie Jacobs, seasoned Milne for Zimbabwe T20I Tri-series

Wellington, June 27 (IANS) New Zealand has included uncapped batter Bevon Jacobs and experienced bowler Adam Milne in their 15-strong squad for next month’s T20I Tri-Series with South Africa and hosts, Zimbabwe. The 23-year-old Jacobs is the only uncapped player in an experienced tour party, captained by Mitch Santner and is in line to make his Black Caps debut.
