ILT20 bans Noor Ahmad for 12 months due to breach of contract

Dubai, Feb 20 (IANS) The International League T20 (ILT20) has banned spinner Noor Ahmad for 12 months for breaching his Player Agreement with Sharjah Warriors who had signed him for Season 1 of the tournament. Noor was offered another year’s extension by the Warriors but refused to sign the retention notice for Season 2.

Amidst the backdrop of the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, where many historic moments in Bangladesh cricket have unfolded, Bashar's appointment was announced during a meeting of the women's wing chaired by Nadel Chowdhury. Habibul worked as a member of the national selection panel from 2016 to 2024 until it was dissolved.

Colombo, Feb 19 (IANS) Sri Lankan spin sensation Wanindu Hasaranga on Monday became just the second Sri Lankan after Lasith Malinga to take 100 T20I wickets, achieving the feat during the second match of the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. Hasaranga became the eleventh player overall to breach the 100-wicket barrier in T20Is and the second fastest to achieve the milestone.
