BNP set for power; Jamaat’s rising strength raises fears of street pressure, anti-India push
New Delhi, Feb 13 (IANS) The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to form the next government in Bangladesh. In the elections held on February 12 in the absence of Sheikh Hasina’s Awami League, the BNP is headed to a landslide victory, while the Jamaat-e-Islami is likely to finish a distant second.
