Skipper Savita credits team bonding for Haryana's triumph in senior national hockey

Pune, March 24 (IANS) Having prevailed over hosts Maharashtra in a shoot-out to win their third title in 14 editions of Hockey India Senior Women National Championship, Hockey Haryana captain and goalkeeper Savita Punia credited team bonding for their victory. Haryana defeated Hockey Maharashtra in a nail-biting final, prevailing 3-0 in the shoot-out, after the two teams were held 1-1 at the end of regulation time, to win the title at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium Pimpri, Pune.

Pune, March 23 (IANS) Hockey Haryana brought an end to Hockey Maharashtra’s hopes of winning the title at home with a 3-0 shoot-out victory to lift the crown in the 14th Hockey India Senior Women's National Championship 2024 at the Major Dhyan Chand Hockey Stadium Nehru Nagar, Pimpri near here on Saturday. Haryana emerged champions in the tiebreaker after both teams were tied 1-1 at the end of regulation time.

Pune, March 22 (IANS) Five-time finalists Haryana booked themselves a place in the final with a fluent 4-0 win over Hockey Jharkhand in the 14th Hockey India Senior Women's National Championship 2024 at the Major Dhyanchand Hockey Stadium, Nehru Nagar-Pimpri near here on Friday. This victory for Haryana was their third over Jharkhand in five meetings they had so far.

New Delhi, March 17 (IANS) To help in the Indian men’s hockey team's preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris, Hockey India has roped in the services of Dutch goalkeeping expert Dennis Van De Poole. He will join the ongoing national coaching camp being held at the iconic Kalinga Hockey Stadium in Bhubaneswar, where he will closely work with PR Sreejesh, Krishan Pathak, and Suraj Karkera.
