Pune, Oct 7 (IANS) Hockey Nashik and Vijay Hockey Academy opened their campaigns with hard-fought wins, while Mumbai School Sports Association (MSSA) scored a whopping 14-0 win on the opening day of the 8th SNBP All-India Boys (Under-16) Hockey Tournament at the Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi near here on Monday.

Patna, Oct 5 (IANS) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday unveiled the logo and mascot of the Women's Asian Champions Trophy 2024, setting the stage for the first international hockey tournament in the state which will be played at the historic city of Rajgir. The official logo and the endearing mascot 'Gudiya' were unveiled in the presence of the torchbearers of the Indian women's hockey team - captain Salima Tete and vice-captain Navneet Kaur.

The two-match series is set to be played on October 23 and 24 at the iconic Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium.
