Bayda (Libya), Oct 14 (IANS) After scary news of the Nigerian football team being held ‘hostage’ at the abandoned Al-Abraq Airport in Libya after the flight carrying the team ahead of the Libya vs Nigeria Africa Cup of Nations Qualification match, which is now canceled, was diverted. Nigeria’s captain, William Troost Ekong thanked ‘the power of social media’ as their plane was being refueled ahead of their journey back to their country.

Bui Vi Hao had put crowd favourites Vietnam in the lead in the 38th minute, but India pulled back through comeback man Choudhary, who found the net for a 58th-minute goal. Nations League: Bukayo Saka leaves England camp with injury; will return to Arsenal for ‘further assessment’

London, Oct 12 (IANS) English Football has confirmed that Bukayo Saka will not be travelling to Finland after limping off the pitch during the second half of the England vs Greece match and will be returning to Arsenal for further assessment. Alongside Saka, Liverpool’s Curtis Jones has also pulled out of the squad for personal reasons which means a 22-member squad will travel to Helsinki to face Finland in a UEFA Nations League on Sunday at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
