Fatima Sana’s side defied the form book to beat the Asian Cup Champions by 31 runs, posting 116 in the first innings and then bowling superbly to restrict Sri Lanka to 85/9.

In response to Mumbai's 537, ROI were 289/4 at stumps on Thursday and still trail by 248 runs. Easwaran and captain Ruturaj Gaikwad started positively, hitting two boundaries in the first two overs.
