Durban, Nov 9 (IANS) Spinners Varun Chakravarthy and Ravi Bishnoi spun a web to strangle the middle-order after Sanju Samson hammered a superb century as India thrashed South Africa by 61 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the series at the Kingsmead Cricket Stadium here on Friday. India have never lost a T20I match at this ground and maintained their record with a comprehensive win. This is India's fifth win in six T20Is since the T20 World Cup triumph.

New Delhi, Nov 8 (IANS) Former England Test captain Sir Alastair Cook said he would be interested to see if anyone picks veteran pacer James Anderson in the upcoming mega auction for the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Anderson, England’s leading wicket-taker with 704 scalps, retired from international cricket this year after playing in the Lord’s Test against the West Indies in July. He has now registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction at a base price of INR 1.25 crore.
