India to add 179 million people to its working age population by 2045 (Lead)

New Delhi, Sep 15 (IANS) India's demographics are in a sweet spot, and the country is projected to add at least 179 million people to its working-age population by 2045, which can be a significant tailwind for economic growth, particularly as demographics in several parts of the world (including China) turn unfavourable, a new report has said.

10 lakh PMAY-G beneficiaries in Jharkhand, Gujarat, Odisha to get sanction letters

New Delhi, Sep 14 (IANS) About 10 lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) living in Jharkhand, Gujarat, Odisha, and other states will get their sanction letters as well as the first installment under the rural housing scheme of the government next week, Union Minister for Rural Development Shivraj Singh Chouhan said.
