Centre gets 87 proposals from states under BHAVYA Scheme

New Delhi, Aug 7 (IANS) As many as 87 proposals have been received from various state and Union Territory governments under the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojana (BHAVYA) Scheme, in round 1 of Phase-I, which was open for receiving applications till July 31, the Centre told the Parliament on Friday.

Gujarat doubles development grants for districts hosting national, state celebrations

Gandhinagar, Aug 7 (IANS) The Gujarat government, led by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, has doubled the development grants available to districts hosting state-level Republic Day, Independence Day and Gujarat State Foundation Day celebrations outside Gandhinagar, raising the maximum allocation from Rs 7.5 crore to Rs 15 crore under revised provisions approved by the state.
