T20 World Cup: Day matches will even out everything, says RP Singh

New Delhi, May 31 (IANS) The upcoming Men's T20 World Cup in the West Indies and the USA will see 28 out of 55 games being played as day matches, including India's all four league stage fixtures. Former India left-arm fast-bowler RP Singh believes having games in the morning will even out the conditions for both teams as dew won't come into consideration.

The Indian Premier League final was a timid affair. Kolkata Knight Riders out-performed Sunrisers Hyderabad to lift the trophy in style. The Shreyas Iyer captained outfit had all its boxes ticked perfectly well. An ideal start to a brilliant exhibition of swing and pace bowling by Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora had the Hyderabad side gasping for air in the power-play itself. A tame finish to a wonderful tournament!

Shubha Satheesh back for Test as BCCI names squads for multi-format South Africa series

Mumbai, May 30 (IANS) The Women’s Selection Committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced India’s squads for the upcoming multi-format series against South Africa to be held in various venues from June 13 to July 9. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian women's team in the series that involves one Test, three ODIs, and the same number of T20I matches. Smriti Mandhana will be her deputy in all three formats.
