Abu Dhabi, Jan 26 (IANS) The Gulf Giants were forced to dig deep, and they responded brilliantly, to defeat the MI Emirates by two wickets, in a nail-biter in Season 3 of the ILT20 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium here on Saturday. The Gulf Giants looked down and out at one stage before their lower order showed nerves of steel to guide the side over the finish line against the MI Emirates. The win helps the Gulf Giants move to fifth on the points table.

Chennai, Jan 25 (IANS) Tilak Varma sealed the deal for India by hitting a brilliant 72 not out and taking the hosts to a thrilling two-wicket win over England in the second T20I at the MA Chidambaram Stadium here on Saturday. The nail-biting win also gave India a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. After restricting England to 165/5 in 20 overs, India were quick off the blocks but were soon reduced to 78/5, thanks to the visitors’ bowlers taking scalps with absolute rockets.

Sharjah, Jan 25 (IANS) Alex Hales and Sam Curran powered the Desert Vipers to a commanding eight-wicket victory over the Sharjah Warriorz in the ILT20 Season 3, at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium here on Saturday. Hales and Curran shared a stunning 128-run partnership off just 65 balls, which turned a modest chase of 152 into a one-sided affair. Hales smashed a 36-ball half-century while Curran followed with a blistering 33-ball fifty. The duo ensured the Vipers sealed the win in 14.5 overs to inch closer to the play-offs stage.
