Mo Farah announced as International Event Ambassador of Mumbai Marathon

Mumbai, Jan 9 (IANS) The organisers of the 20th edition of the Mumbai Marathon have announced British long-distance runner Sir Mo Farah as the International Event Ambassador for the event to be run on January 19. Asia’s most prestigious marathon, the Mumbai Marathon will witness a record-breaking 60,000 runners take to the start line on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus on January 19.

Berhanu ready for a hat-trick while Minsewo returns to defend title in Mumbai Marathon

Mumbai, Dec 30 (IANS) Ethiopia’s defending champions Hayle Lemi Berhanu and Aberash Minsewo are returning to retain their titles at the Mumbai Marathon 2025, a World Athletics Gold Label Race, scheduled on January 19. Berhanu will attempt a hat-trick of wins after his back-to-back victories in 2023 and 2024 in the men’s section. If successful, he will be the first runner to achieve this honour in the 20 years of the race.

Beijing, Nov 24 (IANS) Kenya's marathon icon Eliud Kipchoge says he will dust himself off and keep his head up despite a disappointing performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics and said he has learned from his experience. Kipchoge, marathon gold medalist in Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, was eyeing his third consecutive Olympic title in Paris, but he finished on a disappointing note as he withdrew from the race after around 30 km due to the effects of a back injury.
