Mumbai, June 27 (IANS) Actor Vivaan Sharma has heaped praise on his 'Raakh' co-star Sonali Bendre, mentioning that he learnt a lot about acting just by observing her at work.
Calling her 'a very kind person' and revealing that simply watching her perform taught him one of the biggest lessons about acting, that it is much more than delivering dialogues.
In an exclusive conversation with IANS, Vivaan opened up about his experience of sharing screen space with the 90s crush, and the m important lessons he picked up while working alongside her.
Talking about Sonali Bendre, Vivaan said, 'It was wonderful. I shared several scenes with her and learned a great deal from observing her.'
He further added, 'One of the biggest lessons I learned is that acting is not only about dialogue. Sometimes your expressions communicate emotions that words never can.'
Calling Sonali an extremely warm and supportive co-star, Vivaan shared, 'Sonali Ma'am is a very kind person. We even participated in workshops together to build a believable bond between our characters. It was a warm and enriching experience, and we connected very quickly.'
Talking about'Raakh', the show is a crime-drama series inspired by one of India's most shocking real-life criminal cases of the Geeta and Sanjay Chopra kidnapping and murder case, popularly known as the Ranga-Billa case.
The series features Ali Fazal, Sonali Bendre, Aamir Bashir, Vivaan Sharma, Divya Sharma, Akash Makhija, Ramandeep Yadav, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, Rakesh Bedi and Anshul Chauhan.
For the uninitiated, Sonali essays the role of the grief-stricken mother, who is left shattered after the ruthless killing of her children.
Vivaan Sharma plays the role of Sahil Arora based on real-life Sanjay Chopra.
Since its release, 'Raakh' has been receiving positive reviews for its gripping storytelling and stellar performances.
