HM Amit Shah's 2026 deadline in sight as Sukma panchayat declared Maoist-free

Raipur, April 18 (IANS) In a major move towards Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s mission to make India free of Maoist insurgency by March 2026, Badesetti Panchayat in Sukma district has officially been declared the first Maoist-free Panchayat in Chhattisgarh. The development followed the surrender by 22 Maoists, including 11 from Badesetti alone, before the security forces on Friday.

International space mission carrying Indian astronaut scheduled for next month

New Delhi, April 18 (IANS) The country is all set to create history once again in its space journey as an Indian astronaut will fly to the International Space Station (ISS) next month as part of an international space mission, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh, said on Friday.
