Parth Jindal suggests setting up a fund to support sports development

New Delhi, Jan 16 (IANS): With the Indian sports scene undergoing constant transformation and producing new stars and champions every year, there is a constant need for money to support them and create infrastructure. One way to generate funds besides government support is through the business community's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Parth Jindal, Managing Director of JSW Cement, put forth some valuable suggestions on Thursday for the utilization of this funding in New Delhi.

The Islanders kept 60.8% of the possession, but Punjab FC took five shots on target as compared to the two of the visitors.

Women's HIL: Soorma Club hope to maintain momentum in clash with Delhi SG Pipers

Rourkela, Jan 16 (IANS) With two wins from two matches under their belt, Soorma Hockey Club will take on Delhi SG Pipers on Friday in a much-anticipated clash in the Women's Hockey India League (HIL) 2024-25, hoping to maintain the momentum when they play at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium here. So far, JSW Soorma Hockey Club have won both their matches in the league -- a 4-1 win against Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers and a 2-1 victory against Odisha Warriors. Delhi SG Pipers, on the other hand, have lost both their encounters so far.
