Mumbai, May 25 (IANS) Having made a grand return to action following a 15-month break because of a near-fatal accident, young wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant posed with some members of the Indian team as they departed for New York for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup here on Saturday. Pant was seen enjoying the adulation of fans and meeting his former teammates, taking selfies with fellow players at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Saturday.

T20 World Cup: ICC to set up record number of fan parks to broadcast mega event

Dubai, May 25 (IANS) The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced a record number of fan parks to broadcast the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 with nine live sites including one in New Delhi in five different countries, bringing the biggest cricket carnival to communities. In total 22 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 matches will be shown in locations including New York City, New Delhi and Rawalpindi totalling the most amount of fan parks for an ICC World Cup ever.

New Delhi, May 25 (IANS) Former Australia batter Matthew Hayden has asserted that Pakistan's squad for the next month's T20 World Cup looks solid with a star-studded line-up but their fielding remains a 'biggest chink' for them. Babar Azam will lead Pakistan in the showpiece event in the USA and the West Indies, commencing on June 2. The runners-up have named a strong squad consisting of four lethal pacers - Shaheen Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf.
