Fuel, LPG supplies stable; India in touch with global partners amid West Asia crisis

New Delhi, March 14 (IANS) The Ministry of External Affairs on Saturday reiterated India's call for de-escalation in the ongoing regional conflict while assuring that adequate supplies of crude oil, petrol, diesel and LPG are available in the country. The government also said efforts are underway to safeguard maritime operations and repatriate Indian seafarers from the affected region.

Sonam Wangchuk released from Jodhpur Central Jail after 170 days

Jaipur, March 14 (IANS) Ladakh-based climate activist and engineer, Sonam Wangchuk, was released from Jodhpur Central Jail on Saturday after the Central Government revoked the charges filed against him under the National Security Act (NSA). His release came shortly after the government formally withdrew the preventive detention order earlier in the day.
