Govt eyes boost in production of induction heaters to cut use of cooking gas

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) Top government officials including the Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, the Power Secretary, and the Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) held a meeting on Friday to discuss ways to increase the domestic production of induction heaters and cooking utensils to bring down the use of cooking gas consumption amid supply chain disruptions due to the Iran war, according to official sources.

Maruti Suzuki expands service network to 5,926 touchpoints

New Delhi, April 3 (IANS) India's largest automobile firm, Maruti Suzuki, on Friday said that it added 502 new service touchpoints in the financial year ended March 2026, in the highest single-year network expansion in the automaker's history, bringing its total after-sales service footprint to 5,926 touchpoints spread across 3,000 cities and towns nationwide.
