WTT Youth Contender: India sweep all categories in Vadodara; claim 22 of 24 titles

Vadodara, March 1 (IANS) Ankur Bhattacharjee proved to be too strong for the U/19 boys’ category as he beat Abhinandh Pradhivadhi 3-0 (11/5, 18/16, 11/5) in the final of the WTT Youth Contender Vadodara 2025 here on Saturday. Abhinandh showed some fight in the second set, pushing Ankur to the brink, but Ankur recovered quickly to take the third and final game very easily. Bhattacharjee won the category without dropping a single set, proving why he was the favourite to win the event from the start.

After pace all-rounders Wiaan Mulder and Marco Jansen picked three wickets each to bowl out England for a dismal 179 all out in 38.2 overs, van der Dussen was steady in his 72 not out off 87 balls, laced with six fours and three sixes.
