Govt calls for public participation to boost digital infrastructure in villages

New Delhi, Aug 27 (IANS) The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has invited public participation to become ‘DAANVEERs’ for contributing towards strengthening digital infrastructure at the grassroots. 'DAANVEER', a people-led Computer Crowdsourcing Initiative, enables individuals and organisations to donate desktop computers directly to verified Gram Panchayats through a simple, transparent and technology-enabled mechanism, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj on Thursday.

India's Account Aggregator ecosystem drives Rs 3.82 lakh crore loans in FY26

New Delhi, Aug 27 (IANS) India's Account Aggregator (AA) ecosystem facilitated an estimated Rs 3.82 lakh crore worth loan disbursals across 3.68 crore loans in FY26 and now accounts for 8.4 per cent of India’s retail and MSME lending by value and 11.8 per cent by volume, a report said on Thursday.
