Mumbai, Aug 23 (IANS) Actress Dipshikkha Nagppal's daughter Vidhika turned a year older on Sunday. She decided to commemorate the special day by surprising her daughter with a cake-cutting ceremony in the presence of her friends and family.

Dipshikkha uploaded a video on her official handle, in which she was seen bringing in the birthday cake while singing 'Happy Birthday' for her daughter.

In other glimpses from the sweet celebration, Vidhika was seen enjoying her special day with her friends.

Dipshikkha also penned a heartfelt birthday note for her daughter. She expressed her wish for her daughter to sign a big movie this year.

The actress revealed that she is proud of the kind of woman her daughter has turned into.

Dipshikkha wrote on the photo-sharing app, "Happy birthday to my princess...I pray to god that this year you sign a big movie and shine like a star. .Watching you grow into such a strong, kind, and amazing young woman fills my heart with pride..Seeing the life you are building and your continued success makes me so proud to be your parent. (sic)”.

"No matter how many years pass or how much you grow, you will always be my little girl. Happy birthday to the pride of my life!", she further wished her daughter.

For the unaware, Dipshikkha was initially married to actor Jeet Upendra from 1997 till 2007. They have two kids together, daughter Vedhika and son Vivaan.

In 2012, Dipshikkha once again tied the knot with Keshav Arora. However, the couple ended up going their separate ways in 2016.

Dipshikkha rose to fame with Shah Rukh Khan's 1997 release 'Koyla', where she played the role of Bindya.

She is also known for her work in films such as 'Baadshah (1999)', 'Dillagi (1999)', and 'Partner (2007)'. She has also been a part of many television serials, along with being one of the contestants on 'Bigg Boss 8'.
