India-UK FTA to give major boost to gems, jewellery exports: Industry leaders

Mumbai, July 15 (IANS) The implementation of the India-United Kingdom Free Trade Agreement (FTA) is set to provide a major impetus to India's gems and jewellery exports by lowering tariffs and improving market access for a wide range of products, India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) President Prithviraj Kothari said on Wednesday.

India–UK FTA comes into effect, bilateral trade poised to leap

New Delhi, July 15 (IANS) The landmark India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), which has come into effect from Wednesday, grants zero-duty access on nearly 99 per cent of India's exports, covering almost 100 per cent of the trade value, which will strengthen the country’s export competitiveness, according to a government factsheet.
