Smartphone exports see 55 pc jump, over 330 million devices a year being manufactured in India

New Delhi, Sep 18 (IANS) Smartphone exports surpassed Rs 1 lakh crore in just the first five months of FY 2025-26 -- a 55 per cent jump over the same period last year, and over 330 million mobile phones a year are being manufactured in India and on average, there are about a billion mobile phones in use, an official statement said on Thursday.
