CEC faces protests while coming out after Puja at Kalighat temple in South Kolkata

Kolkata, March 9 (IANS) The Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), Gyanesh Kumar, on Monday morning was faced with protests and displays of black flags and “Go-Back” posters by Trinamool Congress activists while he was coming out after offering Puja at the iconic Goddess Kali temple at Kalighat in South Kolkata, which is quite close to the residence of Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee.

London, March 8 (IANS) Child abuse in Pakistan remains pervasive, with cases being reported of physical, sexual, and emotional violence and widespread exploitation through child labour and trafficking, but despite several legislative measures like the Zainab Alert and Recovery and Response Act of 2020, the country continues to have low conviction rates in child abuse cases, as per a report.
