Mumbai, July 17 (IANS) Young athlete Jyothi Yarraji has always been a fighter, constantly battling her way through difficulties to become the first Indian to qualify to participate in 100m hurdles at the upcoming Paris Olympic Games. Jyothi has been undergoing high-level preparations at the National High-Performance Training Centre in Poland, working with the Polish Olympic team, as she gets ready for the mega event.

Monaco, July 13 (IANS) India's javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra is among 36 of the Tokyo Olympic champions in individual events who will defend their titles in the track and field competitions at the Olympic Games in Paris, starting on July 26. Those set to participate in the athletics competitions at the Stade de France and on the roads of Paris include all bar one of the individual defending champions in the men’s events and 15 in the women’s events.

New Delhi, July 6 (IANS) The eighth meet of the 2024 Wanda Diamond League is set to take place on Sunday at the Charlety Stadium in Paris, France. The premier track-and-field meet will feature Paris 2024-qualified Kishore Jena and Avinash Sable. Kishore Jena will be competing in the men's javelin throw against the likes of Anderson Peters (Grenada), Tokyo 2020 silver medallist Jakub Vadlejch (Czech Republic), Julian Weber (Germany), and Arshad Nadeem (Pakistan).
