'All Indian students safe, situation normal in Bishkek'

Bishkek, May 19 (IANS) The Embassy of India in Kyrgyzstan said on Sunday that all Indian students are safe as the situation in Bishkek remains normal after incidents of mob violence, mainly involving Pakistani students and locals, rocked the Kyrgyz capital on the night of May 17.

1.5 lakh students to appear for NEET in Tamil Nadu today

Chennai, May 5 (IANS) While the ruling DMK has been continuously opposing National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) and has passed two bills in the state Assembly for cancelling NEET, 1.5 lakh students from Tamil Nadu are appearing for the exam on Sunday, scheduled at 2 p.m. and will conclude at 5.20 p.m.

IIT Roorkee-based startup secures top spot in 'Dare to Dream 4.0' contest

New Delhi, May 1 (IANS) The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee-based startup Linearized Amplifier Technologies and Services (Linear-AmpTech) has secured the top spot in the 'Dare to Dream 4.0' contest hosted by Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) with their transformative Gun-Shot detection and its location estimation system, the institute announced on Wednesday.
