CBI sees surge in extradition & asset recovery, credits Economic Offenders Act

New Delhi, Sep 7 (IANS) A total of 19 criminals/fugitives have been brought back to India so far this year, while figures stood at 27 and 18 in 2022 and 2021, respectively, informed Union minister Jitendra Singh after inaugurating the first International Day of Police Cooperation and the Investiture Ceremony at the CBI headquarters here on Thursday.
