CBI’s raids meant to divert attention from Raj Bhavan agitation, says Trinamool

Kolkata, Oct 8 (IANS) Parallel raid and search agitations by the CBI in multiple locations in West Bengal, including the residence of state minister and Kolkata Mayor Firhad Hakim since Sunday morning, are attempts by BJP to divert attention from the sit-in-agitation of Trinamool Congress in front of the Raj Bhavan, the leadership of the state’s ruling party said.

New Delhi, Oct 7 (IANS) A Delhi court on Saturday granted bail to Shahrukh Pathan in a case related to alleged rioting and causing injuries to police personnel including one Rohit Shukla by an armed mob during the 2020 north-east Delhi riots. However, Pathan, who is facing charges in another case in connection with pointing a pistol at a policeman, will remain in jail.
