CHICAGO,IL -- The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) believes in what Martin Luther King said “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’”.

Neil Khot’s first endeavor as an incoming president was to start the Humanitarian Help Project and this is one of the many projects to come. He further said "It's what you do for others count in life".

During 2018, FIA’s Humanitarian Projects will consist and include quarterly donations to different pantries, shelters and the like to make a difference in the lives of people.


Other activities under this project would be holding Health and Wellness Checkup Camps and Blood Donation Drives in association with other likeminded organizations. Other community service that the FIA will be to serve the Asian Indian Seniors of Chicago, part of which has been initiated in the current year 2017.

As part of this endeavor in a first, the FIA represented by founder president Sunil Shah, founder Onkar Singh Sangha, president-elect Neil Khot, Jatinder Singh Bedi and Gurmeet Singh Dhalwan visited the Hanover Township Food Pantry at Hanover in Illinois on November 28 to donate food items and toiletries as per the requirements.


The Pantry Services Chief Lori Orozco was delighted to get this surprise from FIA. The FIAExecutive Board Members helped in arranging the donation items.
Founder president Sunil Shah quoting Mahatma Gandhi said, “Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it.” He said that the mission of his life has always been to help individuals and community at various levels in different ways, and that he will continue to do so.


Neil Khot helmed this effort and added that it is a pleasure to help others and make a difference in the lives of people in the community.
